The short version

8ish does not collect, store, or share any personal data. Everything the app knows about you - your country, your streaming services, your taste profile, what you follow and what you skip - lives only on your device.

What stays on your device

Your selected region, streaming services, taste preferences, followed titles, skipped titles, and nightly picks are stored locally on your iPhone. They are never uploaded anywhere and are deleted when you delete the app.

Third-party services

To show you titles, the app sends anonymous catalog requests to The Movie Database (TMDB) (title and watch-provider data, provided by JustWatch) and to Rotten Tomatoes (ratings). These requests include your IP address, as all internet traffic does, but no account, identifier, or profile information - the app has no accounts and no analytics.

Subscription

The yearly subscription is handled entirely by Apple through your App Store account. We never see your payment details. You can manage or cancel it in Settings > Apple Account > Subscriptions on your device.
